Kitchen remodel

My kitchen is so small. Any idea on a good layout? I can switch things around but I don't know what's good. My goal is to make it more organized, hide some clutters, maximize space, new gas stove with hood, oven and microwave separates and a pantry. I was told that an island is not possible with the current dimension.

Do you have more pictures? And a layout with measurements?
My first thought would be to see if there is enough room to build a peninsula out from the sink wall for additional cabinets and countertop and create a U-shape.
If there is enough room in the peninsula or against the opposite wall for a cooktop, then the fridge wall can be a counter-depth fridge, wall oven, microwave and pantry - all the same depth.

It looks like you get lots of light in there and have lovely floors; a great place to start.

stove and hood would be placed on wall on the right of passage to dining room. Unless you have good number of inches to right of window...... Figure out your budget....provide diagram with wall /window/door dimensions and adjacent spaces. Might be wise to get "inspiration pictures" off houzz or the internet. this shot of your space gives no clue as to your desire/preferences.

Here's a handrawn layout today. I'm not very good at this but I hope it gives you an idea.

can i move my cooktop (gas) to the 81 inch wall? that would mean (facing the wall) 9 inch left, 36 inch cooktop and 9 inch right. is 9 inch too little margin?

I have only 9" on one side of my stove (between stove and wall) and 9" on the other side to form the corner angle of counter rather like yours would, because there really wasn't a better choice for the overall layout. It works only because I have an expanse of open counter at that corner and beyond for work space. You would have a sink right there which would make the work area around the stove very cramped, and require you to do your prep work a distance from the cooktop.

The advantage to the 81" wall might be that you might be able to duct the hood to the outside.

But do you need to have a 36" cooktop? It doesn't look like you have a lot of room to separate the cooktop and oven. Also, do you need such a large double sink? A change in your habits of using the sink might allow you to shrink to a single basin sink (and smaller sink cabinet) to give you adequate space to the right of the cooktop. Look for some of the threads about single vs. double sinks.

It looks like you could take the space occupied by the "dropped counter" for a peninsula.

Have you seen the "Read me first" thread? If not, look for it, it contains a lot of good information about starting to plan a kitchen.
