Beheaded lilies

if a rabbit has eaten the bud of a 6 inch stalk of a Casa Blanca lily, is it worth protecting or is it a goner for the season? Do lilies produce more buds as they grow? I thought I had enough to do defending them from red beetles. Now rabbits! Thanks..

Sorry, it won't grow again this year. If there's any foliage on the stump it might be worth protecting but you'll have to wait until next year to get a new stem.
