Pale guacamole hosta

I have about 6 guacamole hosta that run along neighbors hedge bushes between our yards. Neighbors cut bushes down by half to get new growth and cut them back on my side all the way to fence so now they have been in complete sun for about a week now and noticed that they are pale and slightly drooping. Could this be a combination of full sun and not enough water.? If so will they get The r color back and pop up with watering?
