Would a table like this be better?

I prefer the one shown in room, as it’s a bit different, stain color works well with the floor and style suits your furniture better.

Just wondering if a round might work better. Once you add chairs will it be tight getting outside. Have you considered a round instead; probably better traffic flow.

Another thought is an an extension table

I never like a table base where people seated on the ends have to put thei feet on the table base so IMO neither one .I do like the shape and the color of the first pic but honestly the whole space is a bit boring. why not look a Saarinen table with a marble top or wood and some interesting chairs

Perfect! Thanks!

How about this one from Costco?

I like your table. The clean lines blend well with the square arms of the sofa. For me it would be a keeper.
