What you see coming up from the bottom of the plant are not keikis...they are new growths. next years flowers!

Do not touch them!!

This plant needs a lot of light, sun. If you can put it outside for the spring/summer into fall, you should get flowers this winter.

Keikis will grow in time into a completely separate orchid, but they draw resources away from the mother plant. To detach a keiki, simply cut it off with a sharp, sterile blade. To prevent more keikis from forming, you may want to cut back the mother orchid's spikes after they're done blooming.
