I’m so nervous! They are coming to put in the tiles tomorrow and then will be finishing up on Wednesday with the grout. I really hope it looks ok! Fingers crossed! I just hope it’s not “too much”. We are painting the walls Mindful Gray which is a Sherwin Williams color, but we are using Benjamin Moore so they will prepare their version for us. It’s a nice cool gray that looks very good with a crisp white trim. Hope this helps!

Hello to everyone that has helped me in the past with your comments and suggestions. I did end up going with the Nabi Blue Hexagon tiles for my backsplash. I’m going to post some pics here of the almost completed kitchen. I’m very upset, however, because I don’t think I really like the way that the Nabi Blue Hexagon tiles go with the Carrara marble countertops. It seems like it is maybe “too much” of a contrast. I just don’t feel like it flows the way I wanted it too. I e also had a few friends tell me honestly that they don’t care for the tiles. My husband is so upset with me, because I spent A LOT on these tiles and then of course a lot to have them installed and I really think I should have gone with something lighter and maybe a bit smaller. I have a big credit with Wayfair so I’m looking for some possible new tiles, but I don’t think I can afford to do it right now and my husband will be so angry with me. This has been such a long process as it is. I just want it “right”. Could I please ask for some honest feedback regarding the Nabi Blue Hexagon Tiles and what you think might look better? I’m thinking I should have done something lighter to keep the kitchen very white. Thank you in advance for your help. Just really down about how this turned out. I’ve been doing my best. Thank you! Here are some pics. I do have to say that for whatever reason, the blue does look quite a bit darker on the phone pics than in person.

Wow. I think it's beautiful and the shape is so elegant. I'm genuinely surprised you've gotten negative feedback. The tone goes so well with the silvery gray accents you've got going on - including your gorgeous counters. It's a perfect frame for them.

I looked at the website and their photo is lighter; your hood photo looks to be closest. I particularly love that area - just stunning.

You're just not used to such a big visual change AND you're hyperfocused on that one area, whereas I saw the whole kitchen in the first couple photos and thought it was one of the nicest I've seen posted here.

So often on Houzz, I see the focus on counter and backsplash, even though the plane the backsplash is viewed in is CABINETS and backsplash. This tile suits the mood and colors of the kitchen in its entirety. You did great!

finally someone had the guts to use the Nabi Arctic Blue tiles! (the hex or the Harlequin shape) It looks great. so much better than white subway tiles.

I love the Harlequin too! Even the guy installing my backsplash didn’t seem to like it. He kept saying-“It’s really different.” He wouldn’t say he liked it. I’m hoping it’s just because it’s something they are not used to. I just thought that since everyone does Subway tiles, I would try to be different. I know it’s not a perfect match to the Carrara white, but I thought the blue would pick up the dark gray/blue veining in the stone. Love the Harlequin look! Very beautiful! Thank you!

Thank you Beth! I think that it’s just different because everyone is used to the subway tile look. It certainly does make me doubt myself though. I didn’t expect so much negativity-even from the guy installing it. He told me the subway tiles are classic and will never go out of style. I guess that is a good point. When I saw the Nabi Blue Hexagon online I thought it was beautiful. I wanted something that could look classical, but maybe I was off a bit on this one. As you said, I can always change it in a few years, plus styles change too. Imagine if the Nabi Blue Hexagon tiles became popular?😊

I LOVE the backsplash (and the entire kitchen).

I had wallpaper installed in our half bath recently. I adore the wallpaper. I've had serious regrets since it was installed. It just felt too bold and overwhelming in my space. My daughter is home for summer break and we spent about $50 in accessories this weekend. I love it now! The wallpaper is predominately orange (which I love) and a more subtle blue, green, tan, gray tones. Previously, I had accessories which emphasized the orange and really made it pop - I love the orange. But in a half bath it was just too much. My daughter wanted to emphasize the more subtle colors in the wallpaper with the new accessories. It really made the bolder orange recede. Now it looks like I expected it to. We installed wallpaper in November and I just couldn't get it right. I had been toying with the idea of removing the wallpaper. It took my daughter an hour to fuss with it and change the look.

So, that's my long way of saying, it is hard to pull everything together and to make the room match your vision. During the last 6 months, I think both my "vision" changed and my daughter had a fresh perspective. I truly think your entire kitchen, especially the backsplash, is stunning. It may just take some fussing around with the accessories to bring it closer to your vision. Good luck! I really hope you grow to love it soon.

Thank you so much everyone! I think I just need to give it a chance. It’s something very new and different. For the person that asked about the ceiling-believe it or not, it’s just the classic “swirl” ceiling. I live in New England and it used to be a very popular way to finish the ceilings. Personally, I prefer the flat ceilings, but these came with the house and are literally in every room. I’ve grown to like them now. Thank you! :)

Elegant kitchen. The tiles compliment your countertops. They aren’t boring, safe tiles. They are gorgeous. But it is how everything looks together that makes it elegant. And sophisticated. So....when your “friends” tell you they don’t like it, just think of those two words: Elegant and Sophisticated. 😉

I think the kitchen is beautiful, and love the tile! Thankfully there is variety in life, so boring otherwise. I am like you and second guess myself but am learning to take feedback with a grain of salt. I personally don't love everyone else's style so why should I think everyone will love mine? Be boldly you, don't apologize for what you love. My tile guy had a different opinion on my tile and grout choice but I love it so that's what counts! Please don't think about changing the beautiful tile that leaves your kitchen anything but "vanilla" It is classy, unique and looks timeless to me at the same time. Everything in your space works well together in my opinion.

Hello again!! I just wanted to update my pics now that I have some new accessories and its been about five months. Im definitely starrting to really like the Nabi Blue Hexagon tiles for my Back Splash. its interesting though that i had a painter in the kitchen earlier this week and he was saying that he kikes the kitchen. i asked him if he likes the Back Splash and he said he thought it was ”a bit dated“!?! Now, I’m doubting mysejf again. I don’t see how its ”dated” looking? Ugh, i worked so hard on this kitchen. I just want it to look beautiful and to flow.
