I got this long Wilcox 14" trowel a couple months ago, it is so useful if you want a longer trowel

Prices seem inflated with Spring demand, used to be under $20 in Winter

That 14" I was using with about 2 inches of it peeking out past the mulch or so....couldn't get a allium out. It's planted with stuff so a narrow tool like a hand trowel or the like is required - aka, no long handeled forks/shovels.

Leaning on a 16" length tine and with the handle, finished size should be somewhere around 21-22" I suppose.

Post typing this....I was thinking about my stash. I've got a drain spade that is quite narrow and has a pretty deep blade - probably not as deep as the 16" tine I'm specing. Heh, maybe its the -romanticism- of having a blacksmith hammering and forging a one off tool for me, and deep down, I just want another tool as a gift. I have been working hard....I deserve it ;-0

WooHoo. The MOABL is on it's way - (mother of all bulb lifters) .

Just good old fashion steel, fire, hammer and anvil. Leaves are still in the green - hopefully it will arrive so I can give it a test with foliage intact - which was the whole goal for this tool.
