Well one thing I can tell is they badly need to be fertilized. Other than that they are probably one of the bellflowers like the Adenophora or the Campanula.

How can you tell that they need fertilizer, because of how the potting media looks or how the plant looks? I thought they were growing pretty good.

so then would the granular nutricote be a good fertilizer for them? Or does it have to be a water soluble one like miracle gro? They have a hard time drying out so I can’t water that often.

Looks more like old potting mix which is likely depleted- your plants just look a bit more yellow than they do green.

I'd use a water soluble fertilizer mixed at about a quarter strength.

I used quality potting mix, don’t remember the brand but it’s not miracle gro or vigoro, it was pretty expensive. The reason why they’re that color is I think because it stayed too wet for a long time and it started accumulating green stuff and slime on the surface. It looked pretty disgusting. Have holes drilled under it also.

Ok, can I water with the fertilizer when it’s still moist or do I have to wait until it dries out? If I wait, it’s going to take a while since like I said they take a while to dry out unless I put it in full sun which is likely not the best option yet for these young seedlings

for next year .. take a common WHITE plastic picnic knife.. and a scratch all ... and write the name on the blade .. and then stick that part in the media ... or use the scratch all on the jug itself ...

you can get paint pens also ... and use those on teh plastic.. and that stuff last a very long time ...

whats you plan for the next step ... at what size will you get them out of the baby nursery ... at that point you can adjust nutritional needs ..

right now they are alive .. dont kill them at this size.. by trying to fert them ... dont kill them with too much love ...

if you are potting up in a few weeks... then whats the hurry ...

Normal green plants looking yellow at all = severe mineral deficiency.

I believe the first are the platycodon, the next polemonium, and the last probably campanula.
