Shrub Rose - Lavender Crush

This body bag from Walmart was almost dead last year. I'm surprised that it's even blooming at all. Very fragrant flowers. They can look lavender at times but most of the times it's pink. The thorns, oh boy, big, micro and nano thorns are all over the canes and stems of the rose. There is no safe place to hold it except holding the flowers part.

That really is a lovely rose. You would never know that it had struggled. Good job saving it's beautiful life

Walmart is a great place for bargain. I once saw intrigue with 4 blooms sold for $5 at Walmart. I got my Double-Delight for $3 as bare-root and it's blooming well after 8 years. Years ago I got 2 Lavender Crush for $5 each in a pot from Walmart. The Lavender Crush in partial shade is doing better than the one in full sun.

Hoang, your photos make me excited for mine to mature. It's encouraging to see it so healthy at the base of a tree.

I wish management would send the memo to my Walmart to lower their prices. $29 and $39 is the usual price for a potted rose and $12 for bedraggled body bags.
