This looks like a tropical hibiscus. Is that what you meant?

Hydrangeas get big so they will shade out smaller plants. Just remember to give all plants some space to get a fair share of light and be able to grow into a space.

Start monitoring the soil moisture as hot summer temperatures get closer. When actively growing, they do not want to left dry for too many days or weeks. I am surprised this was confused with a begonia, specially if it already had a flower bud at the time of inspection.

Do you live in a tropical climate? If not those Hibiscus are summer bedding only.
