You've apparently burned the resin, but fortunately haven't popped any crystals as a hot pan does in a ring. I'd hit it with some 150 grit and work my way up to a Quartz Renew system. If it isn't fixable, it'll at least be much improved.

I'd have you acknowledge in writing that the top was ruined and that I could only make it better. I'm not risking turning your burnt estone problem into my poor internet review problem.
