That's a very nice one, Party Music! Looks like there is a bit of glitter in that purple.

Here are 4 very happy plants I picked up in Walmart back at Easter time. They were in a little cart stuck between the meat department and the bakery, for some unknown reason. I don't usually succumb to purchases like that, but they were so sweet and healthy looking - and cheap! They are isolated from my other AV's, but so far so good. It's hard to see in this photo, but the one in back has light blue shading with the white.

AnneCecelia, those AVs are gorgeous! I especially like the darkest purple one!

aegis, I didn't know the name of my first violet, but it very well could have been named because it was given to me by an avid AV grower (my piano teacher) and we lived not very far from Lyndon Lyon's greenhouse. I was 8 years old. I no longer have it, but it was a semi with medium-purple double flowers.... its leaves were dark, narrow, and came to a soft point. Cute.

I've had tons of NOIDS. When I think about it, some of my most interesting plants were NOIDS. So much so, ... that I've spent countless years trying to replace them.
