Paint Color Help Please!!

Looking for suggestions for wall color to match the yellow counter and cupboards. Company/color name would be super helpful! Difficult combo here! Thank you!

I would do a peel and stick tile between the counter and cabinets and River way by Sherwin Williams for your walls

I actually like both of Lisa Caudill's selections above. Both should go very well with your cabinets and counters.

Thanks! This is a smaller kitchen. Unsure if the more solid wall (pictured) would be ok dark?
Are there any other combinations you would choose so I have a couple different options or color combinations that I need to stick with that would work with counter/cupboard colors? I appreciate your advice! Great work!

Yes, I will put together some other options. My assumption is there is a small budget since you are looking only at paint. Are there other update options you would like to see and any range you want to keep within for this? Can you also include a picture that includes the floor?

This is a rental that has been in the family for a long time and they allowed me to paint. (HATE white walls :) So very nice of them for allowing me to. I would prefer not to spend a ton but didn't even think of your back splash idea! I am sharing this photo if you are able to see the floor? May need to zoom in or I'm happy to get you a close up in the next couple hours. It's an older linoleum with a simple design. Doesn't necessarily match. Thanks!

    Pic with some flooring..

Here are some more pictures for you.the one is the floor.....Not sure if the peel and stick backsplash is doable with the extending wall or not..see additional photos
    Thanks so much!

Since it is a rental, then maybe forget the backsplash and just paint the walls and backsplash the same color, like it is now.

You may want to review with your landlord, they may be willing to either re-imburse or discount your rent for improvements.

I included lights, and single hole knobs (if you need 2 holes, let me know the distance between them), which can all be taken with you if they don't want to cover the costs. Also including peel and stick flooring.

Here are some mock-up/mood boards for your review. Feedback is very helpful for likes/dislikes to help you "design your happy space". :) Wall color is above the cabinet in all options. If floor changes aren't in the cards, then once you have a design you like we can start looking at rugs that cover up the flooring. :)

Option 1 - Wall and either paint the seat of the chairs or a seat cover in the same color

Option 2 - Same on the seat along with 2 options for light and knobs

Option 3 - Same on the seat

Option 4 - Would color match the paint color, but to give you the visual

Option 5 - Same on the seat

Option 6 - same on seat, 2 knob options

Option 7 - Same on seat. We could also do a grey on the walls as well with this

Option 8 - Same on seat, 2 lights, 2 knobs.

I love your ideas! Unfortunately I'm not getting refunded on any of it. So I'll keep it to a minimal for cost. Here are my thoughts/questions:

    1. I'm not familiar with the peel and stick. Does it come off easily if they want it removed later?
    2. If I were to use the peel and stick. The wall to the left of the stove continues to the doorway to the back deck. Would I just end the peel and stick at the end of the cupboards since that wall continues??
    3. What if I just stuck with paint? But 2 colors. One color to the large wall where the small oven wall is and the other color under and above the cabinets?? Any color ideas??
I do love Sherwin Williams colors as well!
      Thanks!!

    1. Yes. A hair dryer to heat up the glue makes it even easier.

    2. End at the cupboards/countertop

    3. Which of the ideas or colors from them are your favorite, so we can make sure to include that?

    3. Or other colors you really like.

I'm an earth tone type of person. The paint that you see that just tried on the wall is Zeus from sherwin williams i have in the living room just off the kitchen.. a couple people have said that may be too dark for that room. I honestly am lost when it comes to this darn yellow and what blends but calms it.

That helps a lot thanks. I will post some paint and accessory ideas a little later.

While you are painting above the upper cabinets, would the owner allow you to remove those spindles? That would be a no cost, high impact update.

I wish! But highly doubtful! I just have to make it more tolerable. 😉

Here's a mood board for you, using Mega Greige for all but the wall where the oven is. That would be Clary Sage. The overall color scheme being Greige, mustard yellow, rust, sage, neutral earth tones. Let me know if this helps and any changes or additional options you might like or any questions on the accessory items. The rug in the kitchen is basically your color pallet, and that floor peaking through where rugs won't be covering, it won't be like an uninvited guest, because it will coordinate a little better.

Also, what is the wood wall insert piece by the oven? I saw it has hooks so assuming you have a use for it currently?

If you are adventurous with paint, you could do a stencil or mosaic like pattern with paint for your backsplash.

Wow! I like that option. If your thinking that's the best route I can do that.. Or could I just do the entire kitchen the Mega greige?? The opening that you are questioning is just an opening to the downstairs basement. Not sure what that may have been used for. Unsure of the hook usage either.
Now I'm wondering if I could use that Mega Greige in my bathroom as well so I don't waste any paint! Has all white walls with faux tile surround. I'll share a pic.

Ok, and yes, Mega Greige should be able to work in your bathroom but I think it will make it very monochromatic. I would look to keep the walls light or a contrasting/coordinating color. Like the light stones in the border, or paint the cabinet the light color. What color are the floors in the bathroom?

Next to the stove, if that is just a whole to the basement, then I would consider a hutch there that you can use to get things out of the oven, etc.

As for the whole kitchen Greige, yes, that is an option as well, but I think the sage adds a nice splash of color and you can pull it across into the kitchen and in art on the walls. But personal choice. You can always look for art that has the greige and the sage and some of the other colors from the rug through the kitchen area to make it a cohesive look.

If you do the greige in the bathroom you can add accents of white or sage or like the river way color in your towels and accessories.

The floors in the bathroom are an old white (again!) Tile. So white floors. Nasty gray cabinet. Dirty white counter then the nicer white tube with surround.

Bathroom cabinet color less brown with the hardware painted copper or silver to match the rest of the hardware. You can river the countertops with a contact like paper like this and the floor with a runner

Second thought on the vanity.....use that steel color you started in the kitchen for it and the hinges and some wood knobs for the pulls...

Very doubtful I can change the counter. Very unfortunate, I agree. Probably just paint
