Hello, I am remodelling the kitchen, trying to decide which countertop thickness to go with. I have an option to do 2 cm without build up and 1.5” with the build up. As you see on the picture there is a channel between the broom cabinets and the counter. The island facing side died by have a channel and I am doing waterfall on both edges with at least 13-14 inches overhang, so 2 waterfall sides will be to the floor (the length about 82” with extension and width will be about 40”). Please advise what thickness should I do. The material is Dekton Milar (so... dark brown). It’s hard to say what’s the thickness on the attached picture. I know the thin counter gives more modern look, but as you can see I am somewhat in between.
