Brown Spots on Big Plant

last modified: 5 years ago

Got this plant, I think it's called Traveler's Palm? Anyway, I've had this beautiful plant inside my house in the foyer for 7 months. It has grown nicely and ample sunlight each day, water generously once a week. Seems like about a month I noticed 2 leaves withering slowly. What causes this and how can I fix it? Should I prune the 2 withering leaves entirely?

I have Osmocote plant food (beads) and Bonide systemic insect control (beads). Suggestions?

If I must prune, where about should I cut for each of the 2 leaves and stems? All other leaves look healthy and no brown spots.
