Is it possible the ladybug larva are eating the whiteflies? Ladybug larvae are carnivores and not vegetarians. Years ago I had a whitefly problem on some tomato plants I was growing in large pots, and I used a canister vacuum cleaner to suck the fly flies up. That worked fairly well, except when I occasionally accidentally sucked a tomato leaf into the crevice tool. By trial and error, I learned to get the whiteflies without doing too much damage to the tomato plants. A tomato plant leaf made a peculiar noise when it got sucked into the crevice tool. But the leaf stayed on the plant and was usually just bruised. Some of the whiteflies flew off, but returned later to the tomato plant. So I returned with the vacuum cleaner. After a few sessions of that, the whiteflies were pretty much gone. I waited several days before I emptied the vacuum cleaner.

You might be able to develop a technique for sucking the whiteflies out of the air without getting the ladybug larva on the plant.

thank you ill have to maybe try that in the air lol! and I think so because on my milkweed the ladybug larva have been feasting at the aphids to the point where I only see a few instead of the plants covered in them so it could be possible that they are on the vines helping control them because theres only been a few whiteflies for a long time now and I feel like the population would of been way more than it is right now.

you dont mention any harm to the plants .. if not.. then why fix what isnt broken ..

besides.. it appear ma nature is taking care of it with the ladybugs ...

react when necessary ... but dont create problems fixing what isnt broken ...

ps: how did you confirm your ID??? .. did you rule out say... gnats?? ... etc ...

that is true ken I haven't seen any damage to the plants so far they are growing really fast actually maybe like an inch a day so they seem to be happy. Im just used to one day seeing a few aphids then the next day theres like hundreds. and I looked up what whiteflies look like and how they act so I flipped a leaf over and looked really close and when I tap on new growth they fly all over and go back. They also seem a lot smaller than gnats or at least the ones we see and these ones are bright white in color.

thank you everyone! i ended up letting nature take its course and i have no more white flies but its now ants.which i feel like they wont do any harm for the most part. the vines are now 7-8 feet they reached the top of the arch and are starting to grow over. i have my first bud starting to open it will either open tonight or tomorrow. again thank you guys for your suggestions and goodluck!
