Hoyas have oppositely arranged leaves so you can discount that identity since your plant has alternate leaves as far as I can see. Can you confirm that?

I have this same plant and it was identified as Senecio mikanioides. There seems to be some confusion of its id with a different plant with the common name of German Ivy but if you search the name online you will find pictures that match your plant. Hope this helps!

Thank you @iochroma for your id; I can now add the correct name to my plant as well! Mine is certainly not as full as Lisa’s but I do find it attractive.

Senecio mikanioides is an illegitimate synonym of Delairea odorata. This is an invasive species here in California, and one of my most hated weeds.

Apparently, the South African botanists say it is not native to SA, even though is is commonly called ”Cape Ivy”. Whatever. Terminate with predjudice.
