Water stains and finish damage. This table has a thin layer of oxidized iron.

I had a piece of glass cut to cover my wood tabletop 20+ years ago. The only limitation is adding/removing table leaves.

Honestly IMO this table top will give yo more greif than glass. IMO get a nice wood table which BTW will suit the cahirs and get a piece of glass cut if your family can’t respect the table. or use a tble cloth when you use the table.

You can’t beat a reclaimed table as marks just become part of its feel and there are finishes you can add to protect the surface. Look for darker shading throughout to work with your chairs.

"Oxidized iron" means rust. From the description: "As iron is prone to rust, avoid contact with excessive moisture." So that means not getting water on a dining table? And how do you wipe off spaghetti sauce or milk if you can't use soapy water or any of the cleaners they recommend avoiding? And if you wipe off the rust, your cleaning cloth will carry the rust so it could get rust on something else. What happens if your white sleeves touch the rusty top?

For my $3300, I'd rather have something easy to clean with just as much style. A live edge wood table with a water-safe finish would be much better, for example.

How is the solid oak table working out. I was looking at the bluestone table top from Arahaus but hearing that is not durable either. We struggle with heat spots even when using hot pads currently on our PB bench Wright table. It has worn horribly but has been 8 years.
