Finger jointed hardwood flooring

I am looking to install a hickory hardwood floors in our main floor. I checked with a local millwork shop and they told me that they could to finger jointed lengths up to 20'. I love the thought of installing long runs but I have never seen this before. Does anyone have any experience with this?

No I don't. I've never heard of flooring in 20 foot leingths,much less tried installing it. What is it about 20 foot finger jointed boards that appeal's to you?
