@SLD, wow! Congrats on making spartioides happy! Mine declined so fast, no chances were had. Philippine Black is a gorgeous shade of purple there! And so splashy! Is that a feature of this variety of pubicalyx or is the splashing just as random as any other?

sunfleurpower, I'm not sure how happy my spartioides is... it had a bunch of leaves when I got it, but all but two fell off. I am very encouraged by that little green nub, though!

The original plant of my Philippine Black never did really well. It would start getting new leaves but then they would drop off. This happened a number of times until I finally got sick of it, and chopped off the top. I made two cuttings of it, and chucked the roots. Both cuttings have rooted, and have started getting new growth. One of them seems to be following the same routine of new leaves dropping off, the other is looking somewhat better. All leaves that it has had have been very splashy.

What a great idea for a thread and I will be back with a few of mine, if they have new growth that is. And yes, have to love spring as Wendy says)))

Sunfleur - I love your images,especially the publicalyx image. I only have the common run of the mill pubicalyx which hasn't bloomed yet. I can't wait to see pictures of yours once it's in full bloom. All your other plants look like they are going to put on a lot of new growth very soon. Best of luck with them.

Thanks Mike and Bill! My regular pubicalyx has been sending a vine for the longest time but no leaves until just recently. I'll post some fresh pics soon. Let's see your new growth!

A few new leaves to brighten the week!

Regular pubicalyx, caudata sumatra and obovata variegata and krimson queen masquerading as kerrii. I think obovata is winning this contest but KQ is gaining extra points on cuteness and style!

The definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing over and over yet expecting a different result! Well, I've tried posting this four previous times and each time Houzz said it posted it yet failed to, consequently - I must be absolutely insane trying this again (but here goes!).

Some pictures of my Kerrii with new leaves and also some blooms and peduncles.

This morning when I first took this picture they were this color. Now at 5:25pm, they are both green! Incredible change in a few hours!

It's a copious dripper but only slightly sweet. There's no fragrance which I can detect.

A picture of one of my many NOIDs with a new leaf. I also have no idea of the ID of the plant shown in the background either.

These plants get watered 2x per day due to the intense heat and light. At 9am this morning it was already 92 degrees out with humidity in the 70% range, and I live in eastern PA!

Due to the heat and chunky mix, the plants dry out within hours so the constant watering doesn't bother them, in fact, it's really needed. Once the temps cool a little, I can go back to watering every other day. Some plants (once the temperature cools somewhat), the thin leaved ones like Multiflora and Odorata will still get watered every day, but only once in the morning.

As it stands now - they all get misted and watered constantly only because they're captive in a GH. The Australis I have hanging under a tree, in the shade, is watered about once a week and it's growing like a weed!

I put these two hoyas outside a couple of weeks ago. Mostly because I was rearranging my plant shelves and just didn't have room for these two. Australis and Obovata. The Obovata apparently is really digging the outside life. Putting out new leaves.

That really took off! My obavata is a slow grower, yours looks like it's going to push out a strong vine very quickly. Keep it out as long as possible and let it enjoy the new conditions. Good luck with it.

Your clemensiorum just gave me some hope. I commented in another thread that I am losing my cinnamomifolia. It had three large leaves. Two of them started turning yellow all of a sudden. One already fell off and I'm sure the other will too. I unpotted it and found that it had barely any roots. I stuck it in leca hoping I can reroot it with the one good leaf that it still has. Maybe all hope isn't lost!

Popmama, all hope isn't lost by any means! I bought this clemensiorum of ebay as a rooted 2 node plant but when it arrived the roots were toast. It looked like a plant that was imported, chopped up, and resold. Anyway, I chopped it into 2 cuttings and planted them in shale. They took a little longer to root than my other cuttings, but root they did :-)
