Need desk placement

My son bought a home in vegas. need advice on furniture orientation. he woukd like desk in living room, so he can watch 60 in in tv too too. he already has separate dining room on back side of home facing kitchen. he doesnt need a formal dining room too. also would like to integrate grey as well. wall length is 26 along living wall room wall from entry to dining wall with 3 windows.. the larger window pic has a 6 ft facing the entry door. width in living toom is 13 ft. . the floor is all wood now, some pics are older… any advice is appreciated! would love pride of ownership options!

Does he plan to use the dining room for dining? The chandelier looks to be crowded to close to the fireplace to accommodate a table and chairs in that space. What is the room behind the fireplace that has the niche high on the wall? Does he need to do Zoom or other online meetings from his desk? Does he have any money left to close up some of the jigs, jogs and cutouts in the walls? Or does he enjoy the prospect of keeping those additional overhead surfaces clean?

is there no other place to put a desk? trying to crowd one in that oddly shaped living room, along w/sofa and chairs to watch tv will be hard enough w/o worrying about a desk.

he could try something like this

can't the desk go in a spare bedroom with a small tv in that room?
