I'm not sure what you're asking for, but you'll want more than 2 feet from the end of a rug to your desk so you have enough room to push out and move your chair. Wait on the rug until all your large peices of furniture are in. You may want a rug just under the desk and chair area rather than the bed, or maybe just use a runner on one side of your bed.

I have no idea what you are asking. Is this going to be a guest room or your office IMO the desk is the star and all the rest needs to be very simple and why the tropical blinds in a space where you will be working IMO you need to be able to see outside so I would do solar shades not blinds at all and th erest we need a to scale floor plan and more info.

A rattan bed and woven wood blinds are fine - just don't add any other "tropical" elements in your lighting or accessories. Keep those simple. But place all your furniture before you choose a rug.

They were for my last house which was across from the beach. Sold my furniture with the house. Now near bay so changing it up.

Maureen, I have ordered a bed from Serena & Lilly similar to the one in the second to last photo. I hadn't thought about placing rugs around the bed vs. under. I like that. I will probably go with your suggestion for the more neutral rug given the desk is a pretty strong visual piece. Thank you

Could add any number of accessories that are similar to textured blinds: basket, shelf, photo frame. More versatile.
