Where do they grow? Is there any chance the leaves were hit with steam?

I don't think so... it's been pretty warm, but we are keeping it in the mid 70s inside.

They are on reservoirs... I thought maybe they have just been kept too wet?!

I feel like it's gotten worse... this older leaf looks almost transparent now.

I pulled out my macro lens for my DSLR and snapped these photos also. The tops of the leaves are perfectly fine!

Difficult to tell from the photos, but it looks to me like cell damage…. the kind caused by heat, cold, or bruising.

Well, I saw some mites on this plant, so I ended up toting my entire collection outside and spraying EVERYTHING. what you see here is what I have. I only pray there are no stray chickens around because I've seen in the past how much they enjoy african violet leaves. 😒😑🤨😬

Spraying went well, and they are back inside now and looking fine. :)
