I think we need to see more pics - showing the actual doors. I am challenged to visualize what you described based on the 2 pics you show us.

If it truly bothers you, consider building an 8'x8' room in front of the front door ... with a shed roof porch alongside the house beside it ... and put your exterior door in that room facing the "front" and opening onto that porch..

Even if you don't add an entry room, adding a only a portico or porch roof could also help identify the main entry door as could creating a distinctive sidewalk leading to the door.

If you cannot see the front door from the road, could you see a roof built over a porch or entry foyer built in front of it?

This porch directs people to the main entry door even though the door is on the side of the house.

You can see the door in this photo just behind the van. I thought about a porch but the door opens directly on to the driveway right in front of the garage. I also had the thought of adding an entry room to the front but $$$! Would fencing the yard help?

I wonder if something like this might work?

@Kristina Jones - Does the grassed property to right of driveway belong to you? if yes, the only thing that comes to mind is widen the driveway so car not in garage can park to right creating walkway space along side of house, Then beef up the front door lighting & maybe add a roof as in pics @Sandy showed in her pics.

Kristina-I have idea but not sure it would work because I don’t know where your property line is. So imagine your driveway expands a bit to the right, then you erect a gate and fence structure to create visual “entry point”.

You paint your garage door and side door a sunflower yellow. Add a white entry gate/door and create roof that extends to side door.

Your driveway would have to extend further to right so vehicle has to go around to garage. Use your imagination!!

Not being able to find the door will be a plus when the door to door salespeople are in your neighborhood. But I’m antisocial so maybe it’s just me. 😂

I think i might install an attractive electric gate at the end of the driveway, between the trees, and position another tall evergreen at the right end of your bay window.

people will then simply imagine you must have an equally attractive door they can‘t see from the street and that will satisfy the requirement. plus you have a useful gate.

Then do something much more attractive than the trellis screens under your deck. Dont make it look like a door but give some real thought about how to integrate it visually with your rock garden area.

It's difficult to say if there is enough room, but if there is (or if you can park the van farther to the right or even farther out the driveway), you could put a small decorative fence to the left of the van, with a gate at the front corner of the house (just behind the van). When people see a gate, they know it leads to an entrance.

eta: I think similar to what Flo is describing, but not moving the door or building anything but a fence and gate.

I think you could bring some screens into the lower garden area under your deck balcony, sort of layer a few panels to create the illusion of zig-zag corridor, with an opening to one side, if that makes any sense at all. But you don’t want to make it look like a public entrance.

This depends on budget and willingness to lose both the tall cedar at street and garden on right. Seems your property may go up to the cedar hedge, so there would be room to widen driveway. You could perhaps just widen drive at the top.

The main thing is to have your car as far away as possible from front door to allow

for an interlocking front step large enough to be impactful/seen from street, paint door and accessorize.

Add plants along wall and also solar lights that will highlight the entrance at night. This area will draw eye to the step and subsequently identify front door.

Yes, Olychick, kind of what I was trying to depict. Just a covered walkway with interesting gate and probably a couple pots of flowers to denote “welcome”. You only need about 3-3.5’ across to pull that off. It would enhance driveway too.
