What about taking the curtains wall to wall and ceiling to floor in a deep vivid color (teal, turquoise)? Basically a fabric accent wall.

Then use a little bit of that color elsewhere in the room.

I like the white bedding. Very clean and fresh. If you want to personalize them and monogram the pillow or blanket I think that would add something nice!
I’d also consider adding a crown molding. It will hide the curtain rug and adds immediate elegance.

Do you have shutters on the windows? If not, I'd want something heavier to keep out the light.

Agree with everyone...wall-to-wall drapes, maybe in an intense/rich/deep color. Not beige.

I suggest some flat panel curtains behind your bed in a pretty brocade fabric❣️I am a sewer and made off white flat panel curtains and added a Waverly fabric valence for my bedroom windows, to complement my simple Shaker bed room furniture. In my office, I made simple gold brocade curtains. You can go to a high quality fabric shop who makes curtains, and get nice custom flat panel curtains made❣️

Would you be open to having no headboard?

Wall to ceiling drapery might work really well, an accent wall, or you could try a taller headboard. Here are just a few ideas from our designs that might spark some inspiration.

I like the beige curtains but since there is a window behind the bed, I would go with a lower headboard. Maybe an iron headboard and then decide if you want the wall color a little darker and/or a few darker pillows.

I think your headboard is quite lovely so I would keep the drapes simple. I like the color of the panels you have now but they need to go wall to wall. You need to install a proper rod though! One that doesn’t sway in the middle and preferably won’t show! Since you won’t be utilizing the window install a blackout shade so the light doesn’t filter through it and distract from the look of the luxury of full wall of drapes!

I liked the post showing entire wall in the subdued neutral blue. Nice color block sort of with bed. Adding blue pattern at foot of bed... casual stripes... goes with simple shape of light ?

What does the window look like? What is the view? I am not a fan of an entire wall of drapes. Boring and dust collector. Plus it limits decor choices.
