Ours stores a variety of pans. I've never felt a compulsion to empty it and use it as a warming drawer. The storage is useful.

I use my warming drawer every day. It is used primarily to keep dinner plates, bowls, etc. warm prior to serving a meal. Sometimes used to keep food warm. Originally, I was going to get a double oven but decided I would get more use out of the warming drawer. Have never regretted that decision.

I have had my Samsung oven 2 years, it has great reviews and a warming drawer that I have not used yet.

We used the ones in our old house only when entertaining really large groups, averaging once a year. And we usually forgot to turn them off. The one in our current house is a file cabinet for product manuals for our other appliances :)

Pre-covid, we used ours daily to keep dinners warm. Now that my husband is working from home most days, I haven’t used it as much. Also great for holidays to keep side dishes warm while main course finishes cooking.

I use it a couple of times a week. I use it as a proofing drawer quite a bit.

I used the warming drawer in our previous home as storage for a few oversized pans (I will miss having that storage in my new home.) The drawer came as a trio with my GE Profile micro, oven, and then warming drawer. As others have mentioned, it was probably used twice a year at holidays after taking casserole dishes out of the oven.

For daily use of plate warming, when needed, I stuck my dinner plates in the microwave for a minute or two before plating them. 😉 Much easier than leaning all the way down to the warming drawer.
