as long as they are the proper color ... they are doing their job turning light into energy to help the plant grow ... so there is no need to remove them ...

and yes.. if you dont want to look at them.. then cutting them off is the alternative ...

if you dont like the look of the resultant plant.. then root some cuttings.. and eventually get rid of this one ...

The plant was purchased growing in that pot. The growing medium is actually a mixture of earth and compost and drains quite well. The plant’s been merrily sprouting new leaves so obviously suits it. Don’t suppose there’s any need to disturb the roots.

I believe there’s a technique to promote side shoots so as it grows a few further feet in height, I’ll try that out.

Don’t expect I’ll have to wait too long for that!
