Such a busy year, hard to post or comment

Here's a few flowers as my season gets underway.

Barbara Mitchell just started today.

Clump of Belle Isle Sentry. It is low on buds this year. Usually has 10-15 but most only have about 7. I've noticed others like this. Perhaps too much rain not enough sun??

Gadsden Goliath has been blooming for several days now.

Lavender Frost from 2 days ago

Seedling: Indian Giver x Siloam Amazing Grace. Second year, looks like it has more buds and is taller than last year.

Smoky Mt. Autumn x Joylene Nichole, second year. Looks way better than last year's gnarled blooms.

Brad - A lot of mine have fewer buds than last year. I think the lack of April rain and then so many cloudy days in May and June may be responsible. Lavender Frost is my favorite of the registered ones. Both seedling have nick shape and color!

Nice post Brad. Lavender Frost is beautiful. Hopefully your taking some time to just enjoy your garden.

Same for me Brad, I have a few plants that have more than normal blooms, but several that have fewer that normal. I like Lavender Frost and that last pink

Lavender Frost is a soft color. Barbara Mitchell always has a pretty pink look. Seedlings are looking good and your pine straw mulch appears to be working!

I like your Indian Giver seedling, brad. I am sorry you aren't getting a lot of budding. I had a lot on most plants but not others and it is always favorites that disappoint, isn't it. I blame most ofmy sub-par blooms on the late freeze after too much warmth had made the plants grow a lot.
