I think the garage doors are fine. As for the front door, I’d go bold. Maybe a really saturated orange.

Paint the garage doors the color of the siding. As kellyslobodian says, keep garage doors from being a focal point.

Use the existing garage door color to trim upper windows.

Since your siding is neutral, you have choices for the front door. I would try a burnt orange/terra cotta color; Deep red (not bright) would also work well. Bring home swatches from the paint store so you can look at the color up close in the natural light where it will be placed.

Kellylobosdian is correct with her comment. The garage doors are not particularly interesting and you don’t want them to be a focal point. Keep them the same color as the house so they fade out of focus. Since your house is neutral you can choose almost any color that appeals to you. I like the orange suggestion but if that is too bold, you could consider blues (navy would be nice), greens (khaki green would be interesting), greys, red, eggplant etc. paint some color samples on the door and look at it from the street to see how the light plays on it.

We did a teal for our door and love it. It really pops against the neutral beigey grey that is similar to yours. The paint store can give you sample tins that you put on 8 x10 cards. tape to the door and stand at the curb to look at. Good luck. Leave the garage the color it is.

You have a great color palette. You might be concerned that the house looks a little lifeless as it has little contrast. This is easy to fix. Add 3 black outdoor lights to the right, left and between the garages. Add tall black or dark gray pots with plants and flowers on or near the porch, and increase the number and height of plants down the porch.

I think that having the only change be a teal front door would be beautiful.

I wonder if a brilliant Smokey autumn wheat color would not be both a good contrast, but also welcoming and brightening.

You have a great home. Main thing that would really help is some improvements in your landscaping. Do that first. Then think about painting front door glossy black.

You might need HOA approval for any changes to your front yard and house.

Do not match up front door with garage doors. Garage doors need to be the color of the body of the home. Any other color will make them a focal point. You want to avoid that. You can go crazy with the front door color. Improvements to the landscaping will get you more impact.

What we all should realize about this home is its Design.

Myself and others have commented on the importance of Not calling attention to the garage doors, but the very Design of this house gives the garage doors prominence. Much prominence, as the garage doors are more than half of the ground level elevation. By design, the garage doors ARE the most important element.

That leaves the entry - which ought be the focal point - basically hidden, obscure.

This design (flaw, imo) is all too common. It loudly states, "Oh, Look! I have two huge garage doors (that command your attention)."

P.S. Yes, as Flo offered, black would be a good choice for the door: classy and it goes with everything else.
