What I would do:

Relocate tree — it‘s so squished in.

Lower mirror just a bit (and center it exactly over table).

Rug.

Add a lamp on table, they look so welcoming at night.

For other tabletop decor … ideas are limitless. I would search for inspiration and find things that have meaning to you. Your room is very nicely neutral, so there are so many directions you could go.

What styles do you like? How are your other rooms decorated?

I think with a lamp, I’d add a pretty sculpture, or stack some books, or a plant. You could do candlesticks, books with cool bookends, a lovely vase. Vintage brass. So many possibilities!
