Interesting, I was wondering what these are as they're all over my lot -- I've pulled out a bunch. Never had any problems. The tiny flowers attract the tiniest pollinators.

The ridged stem is what I look for to distinguish it from Golden Alexanders, which I also have a few of around our place.

My hair salon owner fell into a mound of Wild Parsnip while clearing it and the burns on her arms were horrible. I try to observe the Don't Pull In Bright Sunlight rule.

I had a neighbor end up with incredibly serious burns on his legs from this plant. They are not to be messed around with. They grow along a hedgerow between our houses, and I just leave them alone now. We mow up to the hedgerow and leave these nasty things alone. I suppose there is probably a safe way to deal with them, but they're not bothering me where they are so we just leave them alone.
