Past Forgetting is going to have its usual amazing season. It was moved and thinned and as always, acts as if it doesn't know it. I wish all daylilies did that! It's not a favorite but with performance like that it is sure a keeper.

Interesting to see your Scarlet Pimpernell photo. Here, blooms so far have been splotchy. Too soon to evaluate. Barracuda Bay does not look like that here. I don't see any teeth and color is different. I do like the hue of Past Forgetting. You are so right: some take a long time to recover from division.

That's a very pretty seedling, and I like how Applique is performing for you. I grew Peacock Maiden for many years, and it is a nice one. I moved mine out to make more room for seedlings.

I always like the purples, and you have a bunch here. This is the 1st year Scarlet Pimpernel has bloomed here. Was not sure I would like it, but it has been nice. Very little splotching, despite humidity and rain so far. Applique looks good, and I always like Peacock Maiden. Isn't Chicago Apache a red though? Mine has not bloomed yet, and usually does not til very last of June. I almost lost it, and has not done well since.

Brad , I think maybe someone shipped you a pig in a poke . My Barracuda Bay doesn't look like yours either . Yours does not appear to have any teeth . I do realize that the color can be somewhat off dependent on soil composition but if you look at the link , I think you will see that your Barracuda Bay looks nothing like the photos there like Mantis mentioned . It is still a pretty daylily , I really like it , just don't think what you have there is Barracuda Bay.

Heather, this is what my Barracuda Bay usually looks like. What do you thinK? I actually got it from an old trade group in yahoo groups many years ago. It actually came with a different name and it was quite obvious it was not that particular daylily. I'm not that fond of it whatever it is. I love the eye, but hate the color.

Hi Brad, your second picture sure looks more like Barracuda Bay than the first one . I wonder if you could have 2 different plants in the same clump or a seed dropped or an animal dropped a seed stolen from another plant and grew a new plant in amongst your Barracuda Bay fans because they look nothing alike .
