roxanna, I'm of absolutely no help at all, but as soon as I saw your post I was reminded of my own thread - wondering why a rose I had for 25 years that bloomed a deep coral color has suddenly turned WHITE! How do these things happen lol???

It sounds like it is sporting. Quite a few roses have progeny that weren't grown from seed but are a mutation affecting only one part of the plant. Sometimes people take cuttings just from the sport and reproduce it. An example would be the many assorted Peace roses available, or the salmon pink New Zealand produced a white sport called Full Sail, which is available in commerce as a pure white rose.

Joey -- Wow! That sounds plausible certainly.

Now to figure out how to take a cutting and reproduce it. Or not. Not my expertise!!

The original Fairy is pink so it sounds as if your Red Fairy is reverting.

Two of my roses bloom in washed out colors for their early blooms or even their whole first flush. The Fairy's first blooms are in white. Dick Koster blooms a very light pink that fades to white. They are both mini's and polyanthas.

The Fairy today. She only had few early blooms that were white now she is coming in pink.
