Probably. I have seen macrophylla and oakleaf hydrangeas growing in Florida as far south as Orlando and Ocala. I am aware of someone who grew regular Limelights in the Orlando Area.

They will need careful siting, and the flowers will likely brown out with heat earlier than in cooler areas. Of the various paniculata cultivars, the Limes are likely the best choice for hotter areas because they don’t rely on the mature pink blossoms for part of their ornamental value.

Consider growing in the pot and planting in the Fall in order to find a spot that provides enhanced amounts of sunlight for a paniculata but yet, not too much that the leaves get sun scorch.
