Basement Laundry vs Half Bath Laundry

Current washer and dryer location is in the kitchen, literally right next to our stove. It can’t stay in the kitchen. Would you place the washer and dryer in our basement or convert our half bath to place washer and dryer in there?
Additional info to help decide…Two story home, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bath. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a full bath, two bedrooms downstairs and a full bath, and none of the bathrooms are in private areas where you have to walk through a bedroom to access. THANK YOU for voting!!!!

I forgot to add that the half bath is located directly off the kitchen. I don’t love hearing farts while cooking. ;-)

Whichever location is the most facilitating for dryer exhaust ... shortest possible route to outdoors with minimal turns, preferably straight-shot.

I think it's way more convenient to have the laundry on the floor where you spend most of your time. Mine is on the main floor, and I love it there.

Thanks! Yep main floor with wall straight to outdoors for venting…sounds like that would be best!
