It's a Cat 1 now, and it isn't even close to Tampa yet. This is eerily similar to Charley in 2004. It was a cat 2 headed for St. Pete and it took a sudden turn into Charlotte Harbor and went form a 2 to a 4 in record time. Now they're saying it was probably even a Cat 5.

I'm as prepared as I can be here in Gainesville, but it's heading right for us, so everyone please pray, send good energy.

As TS Elsa passed by us it stayed 100 miles out in the Gulf with the bad winds and rain extending only 75 miles. We had well over 6 inches of steady rain, little to no wind all day so no problem. The town next to us had 10 inches of rain with lots of flooding. We made it through another storm! --Linda Leaf

Feeling grateful the storm was not that bad here. Lots of rain and some high winds, but very little damage in our part of town.

My ray of sunshine hubby reassures me there's more on the way, tho 😒

I hope everyone is good. So far I haven't had much here.

It rained A LOT more here. We ended up flooded on the back of the property and into the barn. Our porch also flooded.
