What kind of hybiscus? There some that require tropical conditions and some that survive the winter in southern Michigan.

I grow Hibiscus trio bum and it’s very easy as long as it has space and water. Water most of all. Oh, and sun of course. It doesn’t mind the heat at all. If it has little water it will be small with fewer blooms. More water = more blooms. And it’s gorgeous.

Without knowing the OP's location and what sort of Hibiscus they are talking about it's not possible to help them. fwiw H trionum is listed as an invasive species in some US states.
