Mystery baby slugs

I apparar to have a non-native baby slug invasion on a houseplant fern that i recently bought. i found one full sized adult previously. The black dots in picture are baby slugs, you can see their antenna and see them moving IRL. does anyone know what these are?

Your "baby slug invasion" are really black aphids :-) Easy to control...just wash them off in the sink.

Don't bother discussing with the seller....aphids can appear almost spontaneously, even on houseplants.

Thanks 😁 i had ruled them out… due to it being a fern, plus they look different to google images. Im willing to accept i was wrong though !

Ferns can be just as appealing to aphids as any other plant :-) And if you compare images of baby slugs to black aphids, the differences should be immediately apparent.
