more blooms, more seedling names, clumps.

Finally named some more seedlings. While they are pretty and good performers [around 10 buds] I feel they need more buds to register. I will just enjoy.

I decided to go with names with letters of the alphabet not commonly used as we notice when we do the alphabet.

Veracity, sister to the one I named a couple of weeks ago, First Light. Beryl Quinn x Fiordiligi.


Quasi-Quasar. Kent's Favorite Two x Bittersweet Holiday. I really liked the name you suggested Debra, but decided this too was appropriate [usually the brightest in the garden] and a little used letter of the alphabet.


Castle Pinkney


Coral Majority is going crazy, 4 scapes, 9 rebloom scapes


South Seas Clump


Highland Pinched Fingers clump


Judge Roy Bean clump.

Red Viper Clump. Scapes are usually tall and strong. this year just tall. Being held up by string to a pole.

Red Volunteer wet clump

Enough for now. Still way behind.

    I liked the names Veracity and Quasi-Quasar and the seedlings that go with them! The Castle Pinkney and South Seas clumps are so pretty. I wonder what has Coral Majority so scape crazy this year? Glad to you have lots of rebloom coming on it.

      Brad , Wow Quasi Quasar is such a true red! Love it ! not many daylilies that I have seen are a true red. So many are blue reds or orange reds.


      Love the name Veracity . It is such a soft baby pink. I often find myself attracted to blooms with the white midrib , add a little something to a bloom.

      Your Red Viper probably needs dividing. Castle Pinkney most caught my eye. You've had good rains, haven't you?

      You are probably right about Red Viper.

      Yes, we are way ahead for the year in rain as we have been for several years now. Not at all complaining. I hate drought.

      I like the seedlings and their names, both pretty! Most of mine have a quite low bud count this year, but so are the registered ones.

      Beautiful clumps, Coral Majority and Castle Pinkney are my favorite.

      I like Veracity too. Nice open bloom with a pretty color. I'd like to see more of it as it develops.............. I lost Coral Majority to the February arctic blast. That's the second time I've lost it over the years. I actually like my South Seas better though. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking. It even rebloomed for me last year. A surprise that I think probably won't happen again any time soon.................Have I missed your Smokey Mountain Autumn? Always look forward to seeing it...........Maryl

      Smoky Mt. Autumn had a terrible year, Few buds and scapes, short.

      I have Coral Majority by the front porch, so it gets shelter from the porch and the house. It has done well in all aspects, and perhaps that is why. It gives a big colorful greeting to everyone for 2 months or more many years.

      The seedlings look good. I like the color of Coral Majority and South Seas. My South Seas also performed well this year. Red Volunteer and Red Viper clumps look pretty with all those blooms.

      I really like Quasi Quasar. It looks like your seedlings are doing well. so nice to have adequate rainfall, i tire of watering at times.
