Flooret Facebook

last modified: 5 years ago

Upon our search for flooring, I was looking for photos on Facebook…I ran across this page and joined (it looked legit) . After seeing posts I figured out that it was a brand specific (flooret) run page…very devious in my opinion…it has a very generic name. i stayed joined to this ”page” and it would continue to show in my feed. I saw a post the other day by someone asking for an opinion on their flooring, so i commented. i said ”you know this is a flooret run and controlled page, you might be better asking on another advice page”, and just like that I was BANNED! I didnt even know until someone was complaining about their company on the other flooring page and I went to find their page…😂

I personally don’t have any firsthand experience with their flooring…. 1. it’s internet based sales only, which is concerning. 2. I want to support my local businesses. 3. It’s concerning to why they would want to silence me over redirecting someone to another advice page.

My biggest takeaway is, DON’T BELIEVE ALL OF THE REVIEWS YOU READ ONLINE, SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES, CHECK ANY ADVICE PAGES YOU MAY BE ON TO MAKE SURE IT’S IMPARTIAL.

I had also joined a page called "luxury vinyl flooring advice" and was conversing with someone on there about floorets page. She said they often purge their page of bad comments and reviews... And clearly members who don't paint a glowing picture of their product..

I am a member of that group and have commented similarly to yours-I didn't get banned but I do agree it's not a place to get unbiased advice.

    There is another group

    LVP Flooring Options Photos

    which is legit.

From what I have seen, Flooret is a good brand but I agree that the no brick and mortar does not feel comfortable.. There are a few other brands like that, and they do seem to be good but I know I was not comfortable with that.

I'll let you know how "legit" Flooret is in a few weeks- placed a $5k order- should arrive in about 2 weeks! So far their follow up has been excellent.

I was only commenting on the facebook group that is sponsored or run by Flooret. I don't think it's an unbiased platform.

I do believe it is a legit product and I am sure you will be pleased.

I installed flooret in a property and it seems a great product. I think it is a bit more difficult (a.k.a. time consuming) to install than they make it seem but holds together great when properly installed.

At this point I think it is pretty common knowledge that most companies manage their online reviews. While it would be great if no one did it, once enough companies do, it sort of forces everyone else's hand. Only the largest companies that are immune from bad reviews can really ignore reviews as their customers also largely do.

Managing online reviews is one thing... Creating a whole Facebook page (that looks generic at first glance) is a whole new level of deceit... You cannot only manipulate what is said about your product, but other companies products as well.. I could have said on their page... Shaw vinyl is amazing.. Better than anything out there... And they can moderate my post out.. Deceitful

Lol... managing reviews means paying a third party contractor to manipulate your reviews. The most common methods include paying for positive reviews (usually from people who don't even own your product), using the report features to flag bad reviews, posting messages like "I am sorry you had a bad experience we want to help you, contact me at..." because focus groups show that those responses mitigate the bad reviews even if you provide no resolution, paying for bad reviews of competing products, etc.

Apparently you feel those things are acceptable but an infomercial is over the line...
