How to extend a 45° countertop

last modified: 5 years ago

Hello,New home owner here! I currently have granite countertops. They cut off at an almost - 45° angle. I want to increase countertop space, so hoping to add cabinets and a look-alike faux granite countertop. I am pretty handy, but not sure how to go about this one. What is the easiest? Try to get an identical cut to seamlessly fit another slab, or cut my current granite to 90° and buy another 90° slab? I would really rather not damage my current granite tops. Attached is a picture of my existing counter (outlined in red). And how I want to extend it (outlined in blue).
