Stain mixes on red oak

last modified: 5 years ago

The floors in my 1951 house have been covered by carpet for more than 60 years. Pulling back the edge of the carpet, my contractor thinks I have white oak but my neighbor's home, built at the same time, is red oak. Here's the stain color I'm trying to achieve. What mix samples can I ask the contractor to start with on red oak and white oak? Sorry I couldn't attach the photo.
