Wow Mantis, so many great photos. i really like Dixieland Band, an oldie, I’m guessing? I like the midrib.I always enjoy seeing Carolina Cooldown, never a bad photo. Not the best season here, erratic weather, I believe, took its toll.

The 1st couple of pictures I thought you were showing your best, but not so. I do not see a daylily I did not like and cannot pick favorites. I did get Carolina Cooldown this spring. It did not bloom this year but it looks happy in your garden. Really a great post!

Very nice show! Carolina Cool Down is always one of my favorites, but I don't think I photographed it this year. I was too enamored taking photos of seedlings. Your Emmerichs and Hansons are very impressive. From Sea to Shining Sea reminds me of Faith That Moves Mountains.

I agree, nice show. I love the tall and large ones--Substantial Treasure, Drew Hoo, Caroline Cool Down, and Webster's Girls. Substantial Treasure has an exceptionally beautiful style and coloring according to my tastes!

I've not heard anyone call specific daylilies space hogs before, but you are absolutely right. Some of mine are like that. I prefer compact plants. And interesting enough, whether or not they are space hogs has nothing to do with size of the scapes or blooms.

Great groupings of lots of color and different forms-something for everyone! I like the size and form of Substantial Treasure but assume it is not the in your face red Norris shows? Gorgeous clump shot of Jelly Roll Morton. Space hog or not, Minnesota Nice is indeed nice. Evermore Greatful does look like a good red and I like White Icon. Actually I like them all!!

Kate, it is not at all the bright red on the Ashwood website. I don't know how they ever got that picture. It is accurately portrayed in my picture--more of a fuchsia red.

Brad, yes, I have limited space, so don't like plants with expansive foliage. I have to do trimming in late spring.

Debra, yes, Faith That Moves Mountains is a parent.

Despite all the good flowers, there were a lot of plants that hardly made a showing. But with all the rain, others made up for it.

Dark Gethsemane is nice and I do like Korth daylilies. Is White Icon really that white in person?Evermore Greatful looks to be a huge bloom. Nice photo of it. I like the watermark(?) on Navajo Warrior. Nice group even though your season is winding down, it still looks like you have plenty of blooms to go.

I mean it when I say it's hard to choose a favorite. So many are very nice. Dixieland Band shines for me with the white star accent and Evermore Grateful is lovely. Jelly Roll Morton is one that always gets my attention, and Katherine Marin is one I've looked at before because of your pictures..............Maryl

White Icon is exceptionally white. Its parent is White Perfection, but WI is a larger bloom with more style and height. Whether it will be vigorous, I don't know. Katherine Marin usually has not that many buds, but again, for some reason, a number of plants liked the last winter/spring, while others definitely did not. Evermore Greatful is a large cherry red with great substance. Its only defect is that some blooms have a kinky petal like parent Worth It All.
