Hey folks,

I found a marble queen pothos at the grocery store last week and was excited to take it home with me. When I bought it, the soil was mostly dry but I know how finicky these guys are with water so I waited a few days. I noticed one of the older, larger leaves turned yellow and that led me to inspect it further. Since the soil had remained dry a few days I gave it a thorough water (let it run through the drain holes). Then the next day I noticed one of the newer, smaller leaves was yellowing and that led me to inspect it further this morning. It's a very full plant with lots of smaller, newer leaves. I noticed several leaves near the outer bottom of the plant felt wilty and when I looked towards the base of those leaves, the stem is shriveled and black like the plant is aborting these leaves.

Does anyone know the cause of this? Should I trim them off to help the plant focus on recovery if that's what it needs? (There are a lot of them, like 6 or 7). Is it doing this because its a fairly large plant in a 6.6" pot? Or maybe because it's not getting enough light? I don't think this happened over night so I'm wondering if it could also be from dryness/lack of natural light in the store. But with the presence of a new yellow leaf, I'm afraid I may have overwatered it yesterday (it's definitely not sitting in water though).

For reference, it's been in a south facing room with windows to the west. It has fairly low light most of the day with moderate light in the evening when the sun is setting. There are white sheers filtering any sun rays that may come through. I have several low light plants in this room that do quite well.
