I think the following picture is great inspiration for you.

Thanks that is beautiful!

I'd suggest you keep the garage door the same color as the house. A black garage door that large will draw your eye way to much in my opinion. I really enjoy the turquoise door in this color combo. Good luck.

I think the turquoise looks great with the pink. However it feels like my moms house as opposed to our young families. It is right by the beach so Modern will make it feel less Florida niche. @D Bee

Less "Florida niche" oh I get that haha. Consider though something contrasting to your white black color idea like even a wood door. Turquoise and pink is 100% drama but something subtle with your scheme will bring a little drama to highlight the entry. Ask your trusted paint supplier. You have a classic house and I love the idea of a modern update. Hope you are keeping the palms :)

@D Bee LOL Yeah I think the wood modern door might be the ticket then later I could match with a garage door when I have the cash. I have lived in the tropics most of my life and HATE palm tree maintenance. I go back and forth with keeping them or throwing in a Japanese maple. I am think ing black roof trim and gutters, wood modern door, Black windows and everything else white.

@D Bee maybe wood posts to match the door?

No matching. Not the route I would take. Just my 2 cents. Yes, the posts might need attention. They might need beefing up or replacing with architectural brackets. I am going through some of the same issues with my entry. Keep asking and looking around at homes in your area.

A wood garage door might be ok and very beautiful. I'd be careful matching it to your front door though. Just my opinion again.

Japanese maples - yes so beautiful!! I am lucky to have two that I coddle and baby very much. (Canadian winters are still pretty sever here , ps I'd so love a palm tree haha)
