Rouge, I'd just like to say that I think you are one hell of a gardener!! 👍 👍 I am consistently impressed from your posted photos about your ability to select, combine and site plants that always seems to show them to their best advantage. The lantana is an inspired choice for that situation!

ps. The quality of your photos and the garden they portray is one of the reasons I decline to post many of my own. My tiny little garden looks pitiful in comparison!! Keep it up - you are an inspiration to us all :-)

Those are a beautiful color. I have them in my hell strips, too, on either side of my driveway. While its neighbors are showing exhaustion in our Texas heat and full sun, the lantana is going strong. (The others look beautiful in spring.)

Thank you! Yes, they’re really the perfect heat-loving plant. Bloom non-stop, no pests, drought-tolerant, no dead-heading needed, bees and butterflies love them. Easy keepers!

Rouge and Jinx, they're all so beautiful! I've got a hot dry area near the street that I'm always looking for ideas for, so I'm making a note of this. My street area isn't nearly as attractive - no sidewalks, more rural area - so it won't looks so maintained and manicured, but it will be colorful and last the summer!

Beautiful! I grow lantana in pots and overwinter it indoors every winter. It’s such a nice carefree plant but I hate its prickers!!!

Does it really have prickers? I guess I never got close enough to notice lol. Have never really grown it, only considered it in the nursery or garden center.

Mine has little prickers all along the stems. I react for days whenever I forget and brush my hands or arms against the plant. :p

LOVE! I wish I could do this. My hell strip is only about 2 ft wide. But Lantana is soooo much bigger.
