Water Heater or AC Issue?

Hi, I noticed water at the bottom of my water heater. Would this be a water heater or AC issue, as the AC unit is in the same closet above the water heater?

Have you looked for a leak in the heater? It seems unlikely that there would be enough condensation to form that puddle. Clean out all the water and see if it reappears.

Ditto MTV, and place a large square piece of cardboard (the size of the closet width & depth) on top of the water heater as a tell-tale to whether the water is dripping from the AC pan.

Hi, I saw it dripping today from what appears to be under the AC. It started immediately after the AC turned off. Here are some pictures.

I removed the cap on the safe-t-switch thing and water started pouring out of it, so I'm guessing the drain line is clogged?
