Which is the right media console, suggestions?

I am selecting furniture for living room and dining room. Warm colors and eclectic mix of transitional/contemporary in the living room and traditional in the dining room (cherry wood and rush chairs, refectory table). The media console is viewable in both rooms. Do either of the brown media consoles work (lower right)? open to suggestions! Thank you.

Do you have hardwood floors or what is the material and color? Either console can work in terms or style. How high are the ceilings? Are you sure you want a console with glass doors? It might be nicer to not see components or whatever you are planning to store inside. You'll want either some color or neutral texture in area rugs.

Hello, Thank you for your reply! I have 8' ceilings. The floor is hickory clear (no stain) in matte finish, which will be a very light color. The floor is "select grade" which is few knots. I was thinking a solid door would be too heavy of a look as the cabinet is dark brown. There are lighter colors of the cabinet (RH.com media consoles) but the lighter colors have cool undertones.

I was unsure of the cabinet in terms of how contemporary it might look next to the English styling of the charis and dining table, but sounds like it will work.

Thank you for your comments on the rug. Very helpful.

Have you actually sat on the rush chairs with bare legs ? In my experience they are horrible. As for the media console you choose the one that allows the TV to be wall hung so that the center of the screen is at eye level when you are seated. As for the style and color I would need to see your floor. IMO the dining chairs do not work with the table and I see no reason for that style of chair with all the rest of the choices

Thank you Patricia. Attached is a photo of floor color (photo credit Vermont Wideplank). The lighting of the room is a bit yellow so floor color is actually a bit whiter than shown below.

The chairs I already own and are in great shape, hate to get rid of them. I will probably add seat coushoins. I see what you are saying about the chair style. Thanks again.

Since you have some contrast between the floor color and the console color, I think it can work. You could also consider a painted console though, especially since you'll have 3 wood finishes between the floors, table and chairs. Do you have a coffee table and end tables yet? It might be nice to have a lighter colored console across from your light colored sofa. Something like this example may work. I think your chairs look fine with your table, and I find that type of seat very comfortable, even in shorts.
