Very nice Stush!

Stush, that new yellow pup is a Solid Gold. Years ago I had a Seibert that produced Solid Gold's, Golden Hahnii's and Seiberts multiple times, so those varieties are in it's DNA.

Everybody should have a Seibert in their collection, a very cool variety.

Russ, was my first though after not being an albino. Too much green coming out in center, almost like a green cream. I have a few Solid Golds' and one Golden Philippine which it is most sort of like.

Stush, the Philippine Gold is awesome looking. Never seen anything like it.

Gift from Chris. (thanks again) I never saw it before until I got one. I saw some 'Philippine' sold on Etsy that resemble more of Golden Hahnii than this mostly yellow. Starts out all yellow then develops more green as it ages then reverts back to yellow. Must have the word Golden to find this exact plant.

That's a fine looking Golden Hahnii too, Stush. I've always said you grow a mean Hahnii... maybe it's the alfalfa! Or more likely expertise and experience.

Russ, I have killed more Golden Hahnii than I own. Last few years I have been doing well now. Those Solid Gold are really finicky. Have to be careful with them.

Reason why I don't want to part with any right now. Afraid I would go thru a loosing steak again. Currently have 4 full pots.

Ones I am looking for are Hahnii Crested (Gaster) and one I owned before but kept loosing called Loops' Pride. Not going to pay $60 for one. I am in no hurry. Sooner or later one will show up.

I had Loop's Pride decades ago, if you find a reasonable source let me know, I'd like to have one again. Interesting about Loop's, leaf cuttings produce Malachite, another odd, dark colored little Hahnii type.

Stush, there's a seller on Etsy offering Loop's for $35. But might be $60 by the time you pay shipping.

Seen some on Etsy selling for $50 to $60 plus another $10 shipping. Too much. Now if variegated, maybe?

Mike LaForest had some but gave them all away when he quit collecting them. Just talked to Mike, He's doing well. Wish he would come back and comment here. Missed him.

I didn't know Mike quit collecting, I remember his brother and wonder if he quit too. I think he was Dave Laforest, pretty they lived in different states.

Yea, Forgot to ask about how Dave's doing. Don't know what he's up to now.

Mike is keeping smaller plants like the carnivorous types. Some he can grow outdoors.

Great to hear from you too, Chris. It's sad we lost the input of Mike and Dave, I have a friend that's big on carnivorous serracenia, nepenthes and others. They are fascinating plants.

I was Google(ing) a plant and came across a 15 year old thread in Yahoo. Norma, Russ, Dale Laforest, and a few others. Was a nice memory lane back in a much nicer time.

Well I bit the bullet and purchased a Gaster and a Loop's pride. Coming next week. I'll show pictures. Now if some one offered me one. I think I would shoot them. More than I care to say how much I paid. Way I figured, I'm old and don't drink, smoke or gamble so I need some addictions.

Like when the Cop asked me if I was on drugs, I said of course officer, my doctor gives me a bunch of them to take every day.

Order came in today. Was packed extremely well. No damage what so ever and was exactly what they pictured for sale.

Plants was lacking much root system but that is the way they import them. I think from Singapore.

Found out what the unknown Sans is. It's called S. Crocodile Rock. It is reported as a cross between S. Cylindrica x S. Ballyi. A beautiful Indonesian hybrid.
