It is hard to say what will work because it is hard to see the whole room.

Put a tall piece of furniture there .. use for the storage the cubbies are for——the cubby looks dwarfed Need some height there. Art on wall between kitchen cabs and tall whatever you put in the living room.

First, do you actually need a dining table since you have bar seating? Second, if you do need a table the one you have isn't right for the style of your home (or at least your kitchen). A simple, modern style table would work better. If you can find dining chair to match your bar seats I would use those to dive more cohesiveness to a small space. Good luck!

@Norwood Architects unfortunately i do need a table (kid). This is an old table because we didnt have enough in our budget to purchase another for the moment. what kind of modern table would u suggest (for my next purchase) ? Do u think a round table would fit better also? (i need a table with an extension for when guests come) would this round table be ok? white or brown
